Waverly Heights UCC is a community church in the best sense. What makes this a wonderful place to worship?
- Peace and Justice... We are a church that believes that Jesus' message was one of love for all people and peace between people. We strive as individuals and as a church to emulate this love. For us this means welcoming people of all colors, shapes, sizes, abilities and orientations. It also means involving ourselves in our local, national, and global community to create more peace and justice in the world
- Intergenerational Community... We are a church of many generations, which means that we have many wise, fun elders, young, vibrant families, and all those in between. Some of us have been attending this church for decades and have seen it grow through many changes. Others of us are new to this church...we may have felt left out or unwelcome in the churches of our youth, but at Waverly we find a welcoming home. Our church family is very much that...a family. We welcome new faces and would love to adopt you into our family too.
- Fun... We are a church that loves to have fun together. From youth bowling nights and sleepovers, to potlucks and carnivals, to our pick-up turned weekly-gig choir, to our annual Robert Burns' night complete with haggis and bagpiping, as a church we know how to have a good time.
